It encompasses family, and togetherness. For me family is the people who come together to bring life to my table. (It may be a wife and husband, wife, husband, and children, extended family, friends, co-workers, the community).

For me this is what Ghanaian cooking is about; togetherness and family. All hands coming together to fill the cooking pot and enjoy the food.  The name Kwabea is a mix of myself, my children and my husband. It is a sense of accomplishment when I thought all hope was lost.

I love thinking up recipes and cooking when ever I get the chance to be in my zone. I am a Worshiper, and “a foodie” at heart.  Fashion, music and God’s word are three other things I love. I believe the three should always flow together. I love writing stories which use my food creations as a form of humor (Let me know if I do achieve that). You’ll probably find some crazy recipes and authentic recipes; “some birthed from the crazy minds of my characters, and some birthed from my own crazy mind”.

There is something about smelling, holding, touching, sensing, and tasting good food. There is a desire of reinventing the foods i grew up with and making them fun to continue eating. Just as fashion and music go through changes, so does food; well from the perspective of the one cooking or developing the recipe. So here is my fun journey with food, at least from my perspective. “I can’t wait to share them with you.

I hope you like this journey as I can’t wait to share them with you. Please like, share and comment.
